Prayer

The last month Maysie is always volunteering to say the prayer whether it be over the food or our nightly family prayer... She used to want to say it all the time but then she got in this kick where she didn't want to at all. Now she has to say it all by herself, and all the time. In fact, often she gets upset if it is someone else's turn to say the prayer and she will just start saying her own little prayer as loud as she can to drown out the other person conversing with Heavenly Father. Lately her prayers have been something to this effect... "Heavenly Father. Thank you for this day. Please bless Maysie birthday soon. Bless Mommy, and Daddy, and Camden. Thank you for temples. Please bless the temple. Jesus Christ, - Amen" I just love listening to a child say a completely sincere prayer and demonstrate such faith and obedience to Heavenly Father's commandments. I also love knowing how she can share her testimony at such a young age. I am so thankful for prayers and for Maysie's example to me to be sincere and honest while I say my prayers and not be afraid to say completely what is on my mind. (Also can you tell she is completely anxious for her birthday to come? She knows that her birthday is the next one to appear in our family and it can't come soon enough for her. Can you believe she has picked out her birthday cake since December or so and has never wayvered once from it.... A Strawberry Shortcake Princess cake... And it can't be just Strawberry Shortcake, it has to be Stawberry Shortcake - in a dress -with a Castle. Good thing I have alittle bit of time to figure out how to exacute this request and hopefully it meets her expectations.)
